As we enter an era of 100-year lifespans, extending healthy life expectancy has become increasingly important. Healthy life expectancy refers to the period of life during which a person can live independently and maintain a healthy lifestyle, both physically and mentally. However, there remains a significant gap between healthy life expectancy and average life expectancy. In Japan, men spend approximately 8.5 years and women approximately 11.6 years of their lives requiring medical or long-term care support. Our goal in the Aging Tech business is to narrow this gap as much as possible. We are advancing research and development focused on prevention and maintaining good health, with the aim of creating a society where people can continue to live healthy, fulfilling lives on their own terms as they age. Through these efforts, we are working to create new value that contributes to extending healthy life expectancy.

Drawing on our extensive knowledge of pearls developed over many years, WSP Group continues to research their properties and potential benefits. “Mother of Pearl,” an original ingredient exclusively owned by WSP Group, is a unique material derived from pearl oysters. Rather than simply importing existing ingredients and using them in our products, we carry out our own purification processes in Japan before incorporating them into our formulations. For example, with NMN, we perform re-dissolution and purification in Japan to remove impurities as thoroughly as possible, ensuring a high level of purity before incorporating it into our products. Our commitment to quality begins at the raw material level, supporting the development of products that customers can choose with confidence.
